Personal Experiences
Factory Metals footpegs
by Andy-SCC37
After eyeing these things over for months and months, I finally found enough money to get me a set of Factory
Metal footpegs from xr50.com. The wait was worth every penny of the $79.99.
Everyone whose ridden with stock pegs on a fiddy knows that the stock pegs
are no good. When Mother Nature's wrath rains down, traction on the stock pegs is even worse. After ridin in the snow,
mud and water today traction levels couldnt've been much lower here in New York. Looking back I never once had my feet slip
off the new pegs. Even after jumping swamped out doubles and dragging the pegs in the mud, they cleaned themselves out just
fine and I didn't feel my feet slip off once.
Its a world of difference. It was way less stress on your ankles and legs than
the stock pegs. I'm confident almost any other brand peg would perform the same as the Factory Metals did today. On top of
it all, the billet red looks sik. Pure blingage.

Takegawa breather kit
by Andy-SCC37
I bought this a few months ago and didnt use it very much. The concept is to let extra head pressure out, and it claims
to make the motor spin-up quicker to lose some of the bog out of tight corners.
Well, out of my own personal experience, I didn't see a difference besides oil leaking all over the
back of the bike and making a bad mess, especially when we went to ride at a gravel pit with fine dirt. At first I thought
I felt a huge difference testing it in the backyard but after riding it some more I wasn't too convinced. The bog and slow
acceleration was still there, and there wasn't an obvious sign of performance gains. After having some dirt get in the
breather tube I decided to take it off before I got crud built up or even got into the engine.
I think the good side of this part is that it looks really trick sitting still with the chrome
tappet covers and breather tube, and isn't too expensive. ( I think it runs around $24.99 for blue tappet covers, and $34.99
for chrome ones) I wouldn't suggest buying this as a first part though, I'd go ahead with something like a revbox first.
If you've got nothing else to buy and money to spend, then get it because it looks pretty cool, especially the ones with the
filter on the end.

Red Baron kill switch
by Andy-SCC37
When Rob got his RB bar kit, it came with a big bike style kill switch. He wasn't going to use it so I bought it and
hooked it up. I fell in love with the easiness and cooperation of it, its not like junkier ones where u've got to hold
it down for ages before it finally shuts off. It was very easy to hook up and made some space in the bars fuller.
If u've ever ridden a fiddy without a kill switch u understand its annoying after a while to keep reaching for
the key to turn it off and on. With the kill switch u can leave it and never got to worry about if its on or not; just start
it and go. The only minor ding is the wire isnt flush to the bar, but thats not a big deal at all.
I'm very happy with it, by far one of the best-bang-for-ur-buck deals. I'd suggest this for anyone who rides a
fiddy on a normal occasion because its so convenient.
